Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes your IP address, date and time, the requested URL, browser and operating system details and the referring page, as technically necessary. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in delivering the site securely and reliably). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; a data processing agreement is in place.

No cookies

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Fonts and logos are served from our own server.

Demo and savings calculator

The demo and the savings calculator run entirely in your browser on sample data and public list prices. They do not access any of your accounts or tools. For our usage statistics (see below) we record which demo views and fixes you click and, for the calculator, the team size and the tools you selected. None of this identifies you.

Signing up

When you complete “Get started”, we store your email address, your company name if you give one, your answers (team size, tools you pay for, the plan shown to you, whether you asked for a demo, whether the price felt fair and, if you typed one, the price you would find fair, and, if you answer the two optional questions afterwards, your approximate software spend and who looks after tools), whether the address looks like a work or a personal address, and campaign parameters from the address bar (utm values) if present. Purpose: to tell you when SeatLeak opens for your team and to decide whom to build for first. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form next to that notice (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing development@as-franke.de; we then delete your data. Without withdrawal we delete it at the latest twelve months after signup. The data is stored with PostHog on servers in the EU (Frankfurt), see below. We also receive a push notification through the service ntfy.sh; it contains only a shortened email address (first letter and domain) and your answers, never the full address. We share nothing with anyone else.

Analytics with PostHog (cookieless)

To understand which parts of the site are used and how many visitors sign up, we use PostHog (PostHog Inc., 2261 Market St #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA) in cookieless mode on servers in the EU (Frankfurt). No cookies are set and no identifier is stored in your browser. The PostHog server derives a hash from IP address, browser identifier and a salt that changes daily and expires the same day; the IP address is not stored. We record page views, use of the demo and calculator as described above, which questions you open in the FAQ, the steps of the signup form you reach and the price answer (never your email address), plus technical details such as device type, browser, screen size and referring page. No person profiles and no session recordings are created. Requests go through an address on our own domain (/spur/). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in measuring use without accessing your device (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). A data processing agreement with PostHog is in place; PostHog Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen).
