Reads usage. Never content.
SeatLeak was designed for teams that would never install a monitoring tool. It needs to know which tools are used, not what anyone does in them.
What it reads, and what it never does.
What SeatLeak reads
- Which work tools each person opens, and how often
- Seats, plans and prices from admin consoles and invoices
- Renewal dates and who left the company
What it never reads
- Page content, prompts, messages or files
- Keystrokes or screenshots
- Personal browsing: only a list of known work tools is matched
What the extension does, step by step.
- 1
Tab opens
claude.ai, figma.com, notion.so: the address is checked against the list of work tools on the device.
- 2
Time is counted
Only active minutes per known tool are counted, locally, in the browser.
- 3
Daily totals are sent
Once a day the extension sends: person, tool, active minutes. Nothing else.
Built to pass a privacy review.
No content, ever
The extension never reads page content, prompts, messages, files, keystrokes or screenshots. It matches the address of the tab against a list of known work tools and counts active time.
Read-only access
Admin connections ask for read-only scopes. One-click fixes need a separate, explicit grant, and every connection can be revoked from SeatLeak or from the vendor’s console.
Stored in the EU
Data is stored in Frankfurt, encrypted in transit and at rest. We sign a data processing agreement with every customer.
Your team sees what we see
Anyone can open the extension and see exactly what it reports about them. Team views can be limited to groups of five or more people.
