Getting started
How long does setup take?
About ten minutes. Push the browser extension to your team from the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 admin console, then connect read-only admin access for the tools that offer it. Nobody on your team has to install anything.
When can we start?
We are opening SeatLeak to teams in the order they sign up, starting this winter. Early teams get their first three months free.
Which tools does it cover?
40 tools, from Claude and ChatGPT to Figma, Slack and HubSpot. See the full list. Missing one? Tell us when you sign up.
Do we need single sign-on (SSO)?
No. SeatLeak reads usage from the extension and from admin consoles, so it works for tools you never connected to SSO.
Savings
How does SeatLeak know a Premium seat is too big?
For Claude and ChatGPT it compares each person’s use with what a Standard seat allows. If someone stays under the Standard limit every week for a month, SeatLeak suggests the downgrade and prices it. Our guides compare the seat types in Claude Team and ChatGPT Business.
When do the savings actually land?
Monthly plans: from the next bill. Annual plans can usually only shrink at renewal, so SeatLeak tells you 45 days ahead with the right seat count, and Microsoft’s 7-day window after a renewal is flagged the day it opens.
Can SeatLeak change seats for us?
Where the vendor’s admin API allows it (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, GitHub Copilot) it is one click. Everywhere else you get a two-click guide that points to the exact members.
Privacy
Does SeatLeak read what people type or see?
No. It never reads page content, prompts, messages, files, keystrokes or screenshots. It only notes when a known work tool is in use. Details on the security page.
Can our team see what is collected?
Yes. Anyone can open the extension and see exactly what it reports about them. Team views can be set to groups of five or more.
Where is data stored?
In the EU (Frankfurt). We sign a data processing agreement with every customer.
Pricing
What does it cost?
Team: $39 a month for up to 50 people. Growth: $99 a month for 51 to 150. Both start with 30 days free and need no card. Above 150, pricing is custom.
What if it doesn’t find anything?
If SeatLeak doesn’t find at least twice its price in savings, you pay nothing for that month.
